Chris Tucker's social class is represented through cinematography.
We dennote this when he is talking to an old man called Yu. while having the converstaion with you we see the rule of thirds come in to play because Chris Tucker is always dominating the shot.
This show the audience Chris Tuckers importance as one of the two main protagonists (the other one being jackie chan).
Yu's social class is represented through cinematography.
We dennote this when Yu is talking to Chris Tucker and within in the switching of dialogue there are a sequence of over the shoulder shots and Chris Tucker is always shot in a high angle shot.
This cannotes that Yu is in a higher social class. This also dennotes that Yu is in his comfort zone and has more power, as Chris Tucker is in Yu's matial arts club, while on the other hand Chris Tucker is intimidated by all of Yu's fighters.
Chris Tucker's social class is represented through sound.
As the audience we dennote this when Chris Tucker is talking to Yu and he shouts out "you, me evrybody's ass around here, him".
Through out this clip Chris tucker has the most dominant voice. This suggest that Chris Tucker has alot more power than Yu. as Chris Tucker is a LAPD detective and Yu is a martial arts teacher Chris Tucker definitely is in a higher position of power. an example of Chris Tucker's voice dominating the sceen would be when he is talking to Yu and he says " SHUT UP".
